The East Texas Dirt Daubers are a 14U select baseball team comprised of All-Star players from all around the East Texas area. Originally formed during the summer of 2008, over 60 players have been considered for the roster. The Daubers play in the Deep East Texas Baseball Association each spring and fall and compete in USSSA and Super Series tournaments across the state.
When you come out to see the Dirt Daubers, expect to find a hungry bunch of serious ballplayers who play hard and play smart. The Daubers are a tight-knit group of families and players united behind the common goals of playing winning baseball and providing a TEAM FIRST environment of friendship, family and fun.
Our team motto reflects the way we approach every game... no clean uniforms: GO DAUBERS - GET DIRTY!!!
Staff: The Dirt Daubers staff includes Manager Joshua Best and Assistant Coaches Adam Brown and Austin Wilbanks.
Inaugural Campaign: The Daubers compiled a 10-5 record on their way to a second-place finish in the DETBA 9U-American Division. A successful season put the team on the map as a group of serious ballplayers.
Spring 2009 Season: The Daubers established themselves as one of the premier teams in East Texas, compiling an overall record of 14-5 and finishing as the runner-up in the DETBA World Series.
Fall 2009 Season: The Daubers helped set the pace for quality baseball in their age bracket, racking up a division title and playing in a number of championship games en route to a gaudy 27-6 overall record.
Spring 2010 Season: The Daubers emerged as the talk of East Texas baseball as they achieved a stellar 40-7-2 overall record. Included in their achievements this season were four tournament championships (including the coveted DETBA World Series Championship), two tournament runner-up finishes, and the 10U-Open DETBA Division title. On July 19-23, The Daubers competed in the Super Series World Series in Grapevine, TX, finishing the week-long tournament with a 3-3 record. They were the only team to beat the eventual champion San Antonio Shox.
Fall 2010 Season: Wrapping up the calendar year in style, the Daubers went undefeated in the 11U DETBA division, taking home an 11U-American Division title and winning the 11U-Division I World Series without a loss. Along the way, the Daubers picked up another couple of tournament championships and runner-up finishes en route to a 35-5-1 record. Overall for 2010, the Daubers finished with 75 wins against just 12 losses and 3 ties. They played in a tournament championship game 10 times during the year, winning seven and finishing second three times all across East Texas. They finished the season by winning a 12U Piney Woods Tournament in Longview and playing consecutive weekends at the Rangers Youth Ballpark in Arlington.
Spring 2011 Season: The Daubers started off the season by winning the Winter War II Tournament in Longview, then went on to win the 12U DETBA division title, despite being a pure 11U team. In addition, the team won 4 straight games on a Saturday to claim an incredible Double Elimination Tournament victory in Daingerfield. The Daubers were 26-8-1 against some of the best competition in East Texas, most of it in the 12U age group. The Daubers' cumulative record through their first six seasons stood at an amazing 135 wins against just 36 losses and 4 ties - a .772 winning percentage.
Fall 2011 Season: The Daubers took the field in the fall of 2011 with a completely new look. Six new players were featured in a lineup that batted .356 as a team and reached base at an impressive .535 clip. The powerful Daubers hitters belted 26 homers, 41 doubles and drove in 210 runs in 39 games. The team won the DETBA 12U-American Division, posting a 9-1 divisional record, and played in multiple championship games throughout the season en route to a 25-14 record.
Spring 2012 Season: Though setbacks in the way of significant injuries slowed down the Dirt Daubers, they still managed to place second in the DETBA 12U division and claim second place at the DETBA World Series. A 17-15 record brings the team’s all-time mark to 177 wins against only 65 losses and 4 ties, an amazing .720 winning percentage!
